Collecting Dust and Catching Up

Oh my! It’s been a few weeks since my last post. Bad blogger! Well, I took a hiatus…intentionally. I finished my first semester of nursing school with a B! Hooray!! I just needed some time to decompress and do absolutely nothing. That isn’t true. I have been exceptionally busy.

I somehow have acquired 3 part-time jobs. One requires me to work overnight, one involves wet noses and wagging tails, and the other requires slinging tacos and cold beverages. It’s been a little tricky keeping my days straight, and remembering which hat to wear! With that being said, I have been very diligent about making the most of my down time.

There are a few projects on my horizon. I have a photo favor for my friend from A Sensible Habit. She’s got an etsy shop, you should check it out! I’m getting into this running thing…like hardcore! And, as much as I didn’t want to, I started a vegetable garden. I just couldn’t keep my hands out of the dirt!

The Berry box: Raspberries and Strawberries, underplanted with radishes, beets, and cucumbers

The Salsa box: Cherokee Purple & Brandywine tomatoes, Sweet Cherry Tomatoes, Peppers, Jalapeno, Garlic and Basil

The Yankees Box: Zucchini, Crooked Neck Squash, Yellow Heirloom Tomatoes, and Basil

I’m feeling a little sore today.

So Jealous! I wanted to do a little garden so bad, but we have undergone a major backyard redo. Did you guys buy or build your boxes?

    • I built the boxes. J is intimidated by power tools! It was really easy. You could do some little containers…like your basil plant. How exciting is the backyard make-over? You must be getting ready for my visit!
